Guardhat Named to the 2022 CB Insights’ Advanced Manufacturing 50 List

Guardhat recognized for achievements in Factory Safety

NEW YORK, July 27, 2022 — CB Insights today named Guardhat to its first annual AM 50 ranking, showcasing the 50 most promising private advanced manufacturing companies in the world.

“This initial cohort of the AM 50 includes a wide range of companies at different stages of maturity, product development, and funding. Collectively, they are working on everything from factory analytics and artificial intelligence to industrial internet of things cybersecurity,” said Brian Lee, SVP of CB Insights’ Intelligence Unit. “We’re excited to watch the companies on this year’s list continue to grow and further create operational efficiencies that will have meaningful impact across industries.”

“We exist to improve work for frontline workers in manufacturing and beyond,” said Saikat Dey, co-founder and CEO of Guardhat. “Our platform creates a new category and the ability to deploy an IIoP – an Industrial Internet of People – for live insight into worker challenges while protecting their privacy. We put the frontline worker at the center of our strategy and created the technology that allows organizations to do the same. In doing so, we help frontline teams make better decisions, work safely, and save lives while simultaneously improving operational outcomes and future proofing existing PPE investment.”

Utilizing the CB Insights platform, the research team picked 50 private market vendors from a pool of over 6,000 companies, including applicants and nominees. They were chosen based on factors including R&D activity, proprietary Mosaic scores, market potential, business relationships, investor profile, news sentiment analysis, competitive landscape, team strength, and tech novelty. The research team also reviewed hundreds of Analyst Briefings submitted by applicants.

Guardhat is changing how the safety of workers in hazardous workplaces is managed. They created a unified human-centric system to meet the frontline industrial worker’s needs using intuitive, innovative, ruggedized wearable devices, a cutting-edge SaaS platform – uniquely able to analyze and synthesize unstructured data from workers, industrial sensors, advanced positioning technology, and software to stay connected to workforces via a centralized system to improve safety and operations.

With international recognition from renowned sources, Guardhat technology is trusted by major international industrial companies, including 3M, Caterpillar, Westinghouse, and others. Currently, Guardhat is expanding its safety solutions ecosystem via software apps and integrations with partner wearables, sensors, and software.
